On June 20th at the Intersolar fair, Suntrack and Insolight will give a tech keynote on Agrivoltaics, where they will explain their end-to-end ecosystem. This ecosystem is composed of hardware developed by Suntrack (including two new product versions: Agri-RSU and Agri-NCU) as well as Insolight’s portfolio of algorithms.
The integration of Insolight’s algorithm portfolio into Suntrack’s functionalities allows our Agrivoltaic customers to access the most innovative solutions on the market. Want to learn more? Then you can’t miss the conference on June 20th in Hall A6, booth 310.
To give you a better understanding of our partners, we have interviewed them about the process leading up to this technological solution.
Insolight is redefining agrivoltaics; what have been your biggest achievements so far?
As a company, we’ve achieved significant milestones in the past few years. We successfully implemented large-scale agrivoltaic installations, which gave us opportunity to study and gather data on variety of crops. Additionally, we’ve received positive feedback from more than 500 farmers with whom we are engaged in discussions about implementing our agrivoltaic solutions.
The solar market is booming; what are your expectations for the coming years?
With the solar market growing we expect that agrivoltaics will have an increasing role as it addresses a few important issues: increase of the population and the rising need of energy and land scarcity as it offers a dual land use for both energy and food production. We expect clarification of regulatory frameworks to enable agrivoltaics to become mainstream.
How do you evaluate the collaboration with Suntrack? What have you learn together?
The collaboration with Suntrack over the past year has been an immensely successful venture, focusing on the development of both Firmware and software solutions to create together a complete ecosystem of products for AgriPV installation. We developed a set of hardware bricks for AgriPV installation, that we called the AgriPV toolkit.
The first brick is an Agri-PV Remote Sensor Hub, a new self-powered wireless acquisition equipment to measure key environmental metrics.
The second brick is an Agri-PV Network Central Unit, a central “brain” running dedicated software adjusting the trackers position to optimize the light on crop and providing insights and alarms for farmers based on the AgriPV RSU measured data.
Our team gained invaluable insights on how to produce ultra reliable hardware for industrial clients.
Key milestones included prototype development, field testing at both locations, and prompt deployment of new firmware.
We are looking forward to deploying the AgriPV toolkit to many Agrivoltaic installations.
Intersolar is just a few days away, and you’ll be participating as speakers in a tech keynote by Suntrack. What can attendees expect to learn from you?
As part of the upcoming Intersolar conference, we are excited to join Suntrack in presenting a tech keynote titled “End-to-end ecosystem for agrivoltaics”.
Attendees will be introduced to our state-of-the-art design tool specifically created for Agrivoltaic installations, InsoInsights. This tool simplifies the design process, it will evaluate design options to optimize both agricultural yield and solar energy production. We will also delve into the complete ecosystem of products for AgriPV installation that Suntrack and Insolight can provide. We look forward to sharing our expertise and innovations with you at Intersolar. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the future of Agrivoltaic technology.
