For the first time, Suntrack shares data on installations and solar sites from its previous year
2023 was a year marked by significant advancements in the renewable energy sector, a positive trend further reinforced by the latest reports from IRENA projecting a 300% growth in renewable energy over the next 6 years, reaching 11,000 GW.
Photovoltaic solar energy, with a 29% lower LCOE than fossil fuels, stands as the second most cost-effective energy source. In this context, Suntrack, a pioneering company in the manufacturing of solar tracker controllers, celebrates a key achievement. With the commissioning of 530 solar plants both on-site and remotely last year, the company has reaffirmed its position as a global leader.
In 2023, Suntrack installed over 1,200 NCUs (Network Control Units) and more than 100,000 TCUs (Tracker Control Units). With a total of 4.6 GW installed, these solar plants represent a significant milestone in transitioning towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. Suntrack’s innovative technology has been crucial in optimizing the performance of these installations, ensuring optimal efficiency.
The company, headquartered in Alonsotegi, Basque Country, will continue to focus on innovation and roll out new product launches and market development in the coming months. Furthermore, in their commitment to supporting their clients throughout the lifecycle of solar plants, Suntrack Services has strengthened various advanced service centers in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico in recent months, in addition to those integrated into production locations: Alonsotegi (Basque Country, Spain), Albuquerque (United States), and Kunshan (China).
